FAQ

How much space does a sensory room need?

A functional sensory room can start from roughly 9–12 m²; schools and centres often use 20–40 m² to create separate calm and active zones. Where a room is not available, a self-contained sensory pod (about 2.4 × 1.2 m) is an alternative.

Do you install sensory rooms outside Dubai?

Yes. Our team is based in Dubai and installs across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Al Ain and the northern emirates. References include special-needs centres, government entities and Zayed International Airport.

How long does a sensory room project take?

Timelines depend on the scope and whether equipment is in stock in Dubai or shipped from the UK. We confirm a schedule with the quotation after the site survey.

Is the equipment safe for children with autism?

Rompa® designs its equipment for users of all abilities, including autistic and neurodivergent users, with features such as acrylic (not glass) mirrors and padded bases. Some items, such as fibre optics, should always be used under supervision. We advise on layout and safety for your specific users.
