Overview
The Deluxe 8 Colour Wirefree Controller puts choice and control directly in the user's hands. Each large, clearly coloured button sends a wireless signal to compatible Rompa equipment, so pressing red, for example, turns a bubble tube or fibre optic display red.
The controller was designed with accessibility in mind. Generous button sizes and strong colour contrast make it usable for people with fine or gross motor difficulties and for those with visual impairment, supporting inclusive participation in sensory sessions.
In practice it is used to teach colour recognition and matching, to build understanding of cause and effect, and to give supervisors insight into users' preferences. Because it is wire-free it can be moved around the room, placed on a lap tray or passed between users for turn-taking games.
