Sugar International PEN/2 Cutaneous Urological Stimulation Electrode

The PEN/2 is a cutaneous (skin-surface) stimulation electrode in Sugar International's urological range. It allows stimulation to be applied externally instead of through an internal vaginal or anal probe, which is useful for patients for whom intracavity probes are unsuitable or uncomfortable, and for protocols the clinician prefers to deliver on the skin.

It is connected to a compatible stimulator, such as the company's EVOSTIM E or INTELLISTIM UG, and used according to the clinician's protocol. Sugar's catalogue also lists reusable stimulation electrodes, female adapters for connecting accessories to medical devices, and other pelvic rehabilitation consumables, and ENZYM can source these alongside it. As with all pelvic floor devices, placement and settings should be taught by a trained clinician.
