Overview
The Weighted Pencil is a simple handwriting aid for learners with sensory integration difficulties, fine motor challenges or hand tremor. Its textured surface and extra weight give the hand more sensory and proprioceptive feedback, which can help users feel the pencil, regulate their writing speed and reduce the grip pressure they use.
Weight is added through up to three weighted rings that screw onto a threaded sleeve, so therapists and teachers can adjust the load to the individual and increase awareness and control of the fingers and hand over time.
The set includes 1 pencil, 1 threaded sleeve and 3 weighted rings. Approx. 13 cm long and 60 g with all weights. Colours may vary.
