Overview

The Water Wheel Panel combines colour, movement and sound in a compact hands-on activity. Brightly coloured beads are sealed inside the water wheel design, and when the panel is turned on its wooden wall rotator they cascade through the channels with a gentle rain-like sound.

Turning the panel and watching the beads travel encourages fine motor control, hand-eye co-ordination and visual tracking, while the soft sound adds an auditory reward. The panel lifts off its rotator so it can also be used on a table or on the user's lap, which helps wheelchair users and those who work best seated.

It is part of a matching series of bead panels that Rompa can incorporate into themed sensory areas. Indoor use only; suitable for ages 3 and over.
