Overview

The Ekman Therapy hook set brings four numbered hooks (1 to 4) in different sizes and curvatures, so the therapist can match the tool to the tissue and area. They are made of polyamide, which is stiff enough to mobilise tissue yet flexible enough to feel it, and has shape memory to resist deformation. The smaller handle is elastomer-covered and a wider finger rest improves control. WINBACK describes the hooks as non-aggressive compared with hard metal hooks.

The hooks are used for assisted soft-tissue mobilisation aimed at restoring myofascial gliding planes and releasing scar adhesions. WINBACK also promotes combining the technique with TECAR on the BACK4 and BACK3TX, using resistive current and Hi-TENS to make it more comfortable.

A 31 × 19 cm four-compartment pouch is included.
