Splinting Materials & Supplies

Custom splints (orthoses) are used by hand and occupational therapists to rest, protect, position or mobilise joints after fractures, tendon repairs, nerve injuries and in conditions such as arthritis or spasticity.

Typical splinting supplies include low-temperature thermoplastic sheets in different thicknesses and perforation patterns, hook-and-loop straps, foam and gel padding, outriggers and finger loops for dynamic splints, plus heating pans, heat guns and splinting scissors.
